overwhelmed with technology and kids parties have become a bit commercial. Slow

and rock candy swizzle sticks. Displaying them is half the fun!
Here's how to make the most of lollipops at your party
- Vintage style lollipops: Lollies as they are called in Great Britain, are the typical
sweet delight of children's parties. Look for swirled lollipops to match paper
striped straws in your party color theme, as well as rock candy swizzle stick style
lollipops, and decorated lollies.
- Rock candy swizzle sticks will give beverages a lift.
- Create a centerpiece display of lollipops.
Here's how to make lollipop trees, and stands to display suckers and lollpops
Displaying your lollipop creations requires a bit of planning. Want the easy way out?
You can decorate the Wilton lollipop stand, left, for any party theme. Add ribbons or
even paint it. It's made from cardboard. Use it for dainty suckers or cake pops, as it
won't have the support you'll need for heavy pops. It holds 28 pops!
Here's a do-it-yourself tutorial for how to make a lollipop stand that looks ultra
professional:
- Step one - find the perfect container. Once you find the perfect container, you'll
need to fit styrofoam inside or find a sturdy cardboard to place on top. A clay pot
for flowers would make a pretty Springtime cakepop bouquet, and you may just
find craft styrofoam intended for floral arrangements to fit it precisely.
- Step two - arrange cake pops: Poke holes in styrofoam for a tidy arrangement,
insert the cake pops.
- Step three: hide the holes in the arrangement. Cover the stryrofoam or cardboard
stand with a layer of Jordan almonds, jelly beans, Sixlets chocolates, M&Ms,
gummies or other candy in your theme color. For a cake pop stand at a black and
white panda party try dry white rice to cover the styrofoam or a colorful mix of
candy. Left, the monster pops hide the cake pops in a bed of flowers.
